GAME Definitions
The following definitions for the GAME terms are listed in order of appearance throughout the GAME website. You can also view these same definitions in alphabetical order..
Studio Platinum
The Novell bridal-jewelry collection your store receives when you participate in the Great American Metal Exchange.
Weight exchange
The term weight exchange represents a type of trade: a retailer trades in a specific amount of precious metal, and then receives an equivalent amount back from the supplier. A weight exchange costs the supplier, but not the retailer because the supplier manufactures all product without charging for labor.
Program fee
A one-time charge of $750 for each Studio Platinum package you receive. The program fee is added to the final invoice and can be offset by trading in a little more metal. Use the GAME metal calculator until Your Final Credit/Debit is equal to $0.
Your trade-in converted to platinum DWTs
The GAME metal calculator takes the gold and palladium metal weights you enter, and converts them into an equal-dollar amount of platinum. This makes the metal exchange transparent and easier for you to do an apples-to-apples comparison to other trade offers or refining options.
Game package invoice amount
Your Novell invoice for the Studio Platinum collection, to be fully credited by your return.
Credit applied for your trade-in
We have set the price of the GAME so that your 167.44 DWTs trade-in offsets the invoice for the package.
Your trade-in credit/debit GAME package invoice amount
If you send the equivalent of 167.44 DWTs platinum, Your Trade-In Credit/Debit will be $0. If you return less metal, a debit (charge) is generated and invoiced. If you send back more than the 167.44 DWTs, a credit will be applied. We will apply the credit against the $750 Program Fee. Any excess will be added to your Novell account.
Your final debit/credit
This is the amount that is either credited or debited to your account as the trade is completed. Green is a credit; red is debit.
Refined value
The full intrinsic value of a specific weight of metal. Typically, refineries charge fees and keep a % of the metals' value. Those charges are not subtracted from the Refined Value calculated here.
Confirmation
If your store applies and qualifies to participate in the Great American Metal Exchange, you will be notified with a personal-confirmation number. If you already have a Novell B2B login name and password, you will now see an active GAME icon when you log on to our B2B site. If you do not have a login and password, an account will be set up for you. Go to the GAME icon to keep track of your GAME information. We will also send you a confirmation package. Once you have received the confirmation package, you can proceed to send your trade metal to Novell with the supplied shipping label. Remember, the deadline for receipt of metal is July 1, 2011, so even stores that have confirmation numbers will be disqualified if they miss the deadline.
